Our Story
Our story began during an international business case competition on food sustainability jointly hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) in Jakarta, where we tackled real-world challenges around fertilizer costs and food security. What started as theoretical business solutions became deeply personal when we connected with local Indonesian farmers in North Sumatera.
Walking through their fields, we witnessed the daily struggles: outdated farming methods, inconsistent soil quality, and limited access to data that could transform their yields and livelihoods. Placing in the top 4 of that competition validated what we discovered in those fields: this was a genuine problem that needed a real solution.
The farmers we met had deep knowledge and generations of experience, but lacked access to the modern insights that could unlock their land's full potential. That's why we built Agrolitik: a data-driven farm management platform that empowers farmers with real-time insights, practical recommendations, and affordable digital tools.
